“He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion”.

Our Philosophy

We all love our dogs and would do anything for them including myself. The bond we have is sometimes unimaginable but spoiling them with unlimited freedom, no leadership, and lack of discipline will destroy your relationship with your dog. The journey should be fun and fulfilling and I’m here to aid in giving you and your dog a long, happy, and safe life.

My Story

I was never allowed to have a dog growing up so any stray I found I brought home hoping my parents would give in. I always had bowls and a dog house even though I never had a dog. Im sure my parents thought i was crazy and I would grow up out of this stage. I would bother all the neighbours to walk their dogs in the neighbourhood and finally, a few gave in to the annoying persistent kid. Had I known dog walking would have been a business, I would have had more experience and money and be retired by now!! Growing up in South Florida, we were at risk of hurricanes every year. In 1992, hurricane Andrew made it’s way to destroy a good portion of Miami and left South Florida devastated. After the hurricane, my family loaded up water and food and we went to help and feed strangers that had lost it all. My parents were so busy with the city turmoil they didn’t realize that I had rescued two pit bull puppies and I figured with all that was going on, now is my chance to sneak them home. They obviously found out but said I could keep only one and in the backyard.  I kept the male and re homed the sister. I knew he had to be exceptionally trained so I was hard on him in fear of losing him. The methods of training were more compulsion and I was also very young, but he turned out to be a super well behaved dog. I had not realized but I was using a balance of positive and negative reinforcement back then. Training has evolved leaps and bounds in a positive way and tools have become very advanced now. The idea that dominant breeds are dangerous is one of the main reasons I am in this field. I feel every breed has a disposition meant for a specific job and handler. The bad stigma regarding pit bulls especially fuels the fire in me to help the breed and the people committed to their dog. I also believe people go blindly into getting a dog. I also was one of those people who fell in love with a dog with no real knowledge of breeds. If someone is not dedicated to their dog, and value the animal or my service, I wont trade my time for their money plain and simple.

This is a passion based service looking to better your relationship with you and your dog. When you are choosing a dog trainer, experience and proof of knowledge counts for everything. Doing something wrong for 20 years does not qualify you in the experience department.
In the United States & Canada there is no central governing body for dog trainers and therefore no quality control. In short, anyone can set themselves up as a dog trainer with little knowledge, no experience, and a worthless diploma. The opportunities for so called “trainers” to “milk” your bank account with numerous training sessions are plenty. Read the internet bios and make sure to read beyond the “I have always loved dogs”. and “I graduated from ABC dog training academy.” Schools for dog trainers aren’t regulated either so this is often the blind leading the incompetent.
We follow a balanced training style which means training is training, not temporary bribery, which equals temporary results. Training should be fun and fulfilling with no politics or drama. Real training is not governed by a certificate. It is a natural skill that is sharpened with experiences with multiple animals with different issues and using intuition to make specific adjustments on the fly. This is the real skill of communication. No dogs I own were bought pre trained as a demo dog as so many do. All my personal dogs were trained by me for me.
